The  Chaminade  Concert  Choir !

Achievements:

The Chaminade Concert Choir is an auditioned vocal ensemble at Chaminade High School. The choir is made up of students that have a passion for singing and choral music! This ensemble performs at Chaminade multiple times throughout the school year and travel yearly to participate in world renowned choir festivals and competitions. The members of this ensemble also participate in several social events throughout the school year, in order to strengthen our choral family, including our annual choir banquet!

How  do  i  audition? ​​

Rehearsal time: ​

1) What to expect -  You will need to prepare a one minute piece that you will sing acapella (no music) for Ms. L. You may audition with a song of your choice! Please be sure to select a piece that you feel comfortable singing and that you feel will showcase the quality and timbre of your voice! 
          1) Sight Reading Requirement 
          2) Ear Training Requirement
          3) Vocal Exercises to determine vocal range

2) How to prepare -
           - Stay calm
           - Breathe
           - Be confident!
  • Vocal exercises to determine range:
​           - These exercises will be done with Ms. L and she will                 provide an example for you.
  • Practice link for sight reading requirement: https://www.sightreadingfactory.com/practice/sr/instrument?family=voice
  • Please visit the link listed above to prepare for the sight singing portion of your audition. Once you are on this page, select your voice part (soprano (high female singer), alto (low female singer), tenor (high male singer), or bass (low male singer)) and sing through some of the level 2 exercises. Please select 4/4 for your time signature in C Major, when given the option. If you select “Free Play”, the exercises will appear for you!
